Sexual Education PHASE
The PHASE program seeks to address the historical lack of sexual education provided to people with a disability. A lack of education around relationships and sex can lead to negative outcomes and problem sexualized behaviors of concern later in life. People with a disability have in the past been seen as asexual or forever children. Unfortunately the rate that people with disabilities are the victim or perpetrator of sexual offences far outweighs that of the general population. Better education around sexual health and relationships can lead to better relationship outcomes and improved quality of life.
